Graduated in Quaternary Geology, from 2013 is working as a researcher in Institute of Geological Sciences Polish Academy of Sciences specialized in plaeoclimatology palaeoecology with particular focus on climate changes (from late Pleistocene, through Holocene to modern times) and human impact. She has specific expertise in subfossil remains from the sediments of freshwater ecosystems. She uses palaeolimnological studies to reconstruct local and regional past environments and climates. Human impact into environment and human influence on climate is also an important aspect of her scientific work. She is also involved in the activities connected with the low carbon economy and fight against climate change by the cooperating with Climate KIC since 2017
